Just for Fun! Recent return on a random PCGS submission.

Ok, so it is nearing the end of my early PCGS membership and I like to get a rush of coins through before it expires. Now, admittedly I let the whole year go by in 2017 without using my eight free submissions and that got me kind of bummed out. Here is a sampling of the coins I submitted. I had two Seated dollars, two Trade dollars (all four came back genuine) and a smattering of random raw coins I've tossed aside.
Here is a Peace dollar I picked up off of eBay as the auction was introduced here. I think the title was something along the lines of the most hideous coin or something like that. I can't recall the details. I thought it might straight grade, but naw. Here it is in all its pride and glory wrapped up in a PCGS protective plastic slab to last the generations...

    Looks like a ghost.
Acid treated? The edges look like they have file marks which didnt swing the straight grade in your favor.

That is one nasty looking Peace Dollar! ;) Were you going for a low ball?

Not going for a lowball necessarily.
I do like the name, "Black Eye Peace". (Would PCGS have put that on the label?!)

1: Did any coin straight grade or were they all problems?

    2: Don't quit your day job! (Kidding :) )

Acid treated or extreme environmental damage?

Next time donate your money to Kars For Kids. Maybe they'll be less annoying then.

Looks like a metal detector find but silver usually fairs better than that. Interesting.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

You should name that 'Ghost of Liberty'....I cannot imagine what has happened to that coin... whatever it was, none of it was good. Cheers, RickO
