1979 Proofs are usually well struck and heavily frosted with nice mirrors. why adjust(juice) the white balance/contrast like that??
Because the camera does it on it's own? I have a point and shoot Nikon and take pics with settings at A or sometimes set on scene. I don't know what the setting was when I took this but I can assure you I did nothing to the pic as I would not have a clue as to what to do. I don't even know what you are talking about with "white balance". Heard the term many times here but no clue as to what it is. Can you correct it from my pic? I assure you the coin is heavily frosted and a black and white example.
My lighting makes them look a bit yellow instead of white (is that what you mean?)

Let's see some RARE heavy cameos
Got to angle it that way on the shots otherwise you would see all kind of mirrored image ( camera, yourself etc)
U.S. Type Set

There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who do not.
The contrast on that 1901 Morgan is really nice!

Early strike top die. Probably one of the heaviest cameo dies in the whole Franklin series. Incredible coin !
I don't really collect proofs, so how about these?
IMHO that's deep enough
Aaaaah, 1968. It was 50 years ago Friday I married...still got her!
