Top right is the nun who taught my 7th grade history class - good likeness of her and her personality. Coincidentally, her given name was "Lucania," but I don't know if she was born in Thurium [ΘOYPIΩN].....

The Adams papers and numismatic collection were given to the Massachusetts Historical Society in the 19th century. The coins later went to the ANS for cataloging. There were two sales decades ago. I talked to John Kraljevich (in 2012?) about presidents who were coin collectors and what they collected. He did not question the JQA provenance.

@Sonorandesertrat Well, if John K. vouches for it (or affirms it) then that means a lot.
The Adamses went on for generations and the later ones had more time (and perhaps money) for learning and leisure than the two Presidents, who were mostly very busy men. IIRC, JQA collapsed on the floor of the House of Representatives and was then taken to another room where he died.
I had wondered whether or not the link to JQA was simply a dealer's/auctioneer's embellishment.

FWIW, Ms. Kidman reportedly collects ancient coins. Hate to interfere with the fantasy. Maybe she could give you some aurei.
