    Wow... major upgrade.....I really like getting new equipment... except for the first couple of days - those can be - shall we say - interesting.     I took two computer courses, Introduction to Computers and Basic Programming, in the early 1980s at a junior college in Dallas. I was feeling like a dinosaur and it seemed like everyone knew computers but me.

    I never looked back! I wrote a Basic program called Eratosthenes that would give the prime factorizations of all integers up to 1 billion (I had to enter a list of the prime numbers up to the square root of 1 billion, of which the largest is 31,000-some odd, and after that it was just a simple recursive loop). I compiled the Basic program on a floppy disk and had it hooked up to an Apple 2E. Have had a Mac (several) or a PC (maybe three) ever since. I thought about trying to partition the drive on this baby to handle the only two PC programs I love, Chessmaster and a thingie that crops coin photos in the round (forget the name). But I decided it wasn't worth it.

    I am gratified to see that AAPL is officially the first company to achieve the $1 Trillion market-cap benchmark, and am quite sure that my contribution to same was Significant and Material and all that good stuff. I actually did buy a little bit of AAPL stock the day before they reported earnings ... so I recouped a little bit.

    I enrolled in a computer class when I was in college in the 80s. After 2 classes, I decided that there just weren't enough good looking women or people to socialize with so I quit going. And after all, I thought...who in the world is going to care or need to know anything about computers in the future! LOL :hushed: Oops! Congrats on the nice new setup Gio!

    First Apple was a II+ in ~1979. Not using it anymore.
