Update. Cam thought this coin was an upgrade candidate

So she cracked it for me.
I returned from the PCGS Las Vegas Members Only show last night around midnight. I put my small carry bag on the counter. In the bag was some jerky I carry for snacking. Well Cam took the opportunity to grab it all last night. This morning looked like this. The slab apparently does not stand up to 125 lb baby mastiffs. The flip flop was collateral damage.

Haha, the dogs face is priceless. I assume the coin is OK? At least he didn't eat it.

That element was not mentioned in the OP.
The 700 year old coin as well as the one year old puppy are fine. He is a she. Jerky apparently tastes better then Medieval coins. Thank god
That coin was probably thinking I survived the plague, crusades, rebellions, famine and disco and I have it made. And bam. The Beast.

Looks like a drekky coin anyhow. What are you worried about?
That is one method I never thought of for cracking open a slab. Put her to work!
May have given it a pee cleaning.
I could see you following her around the yard if she had ate it.
No need to follow. Her poops are the size of small dogs. FYI my last bull mastiff was named Alabama

That’s hilarious! Your dog is saving you the trouble of cracking it out for a potential upgrade.

...charge it to the game playa!..I always tell my dog "gooood girl" when she chews stuff up...just lost a Raider hat this morning on the way to the office...gonna post a pic here of it later on just because...that what dogs do man, they chew...and if you train them right; they will chew on anything
Great photo of your poochie.
Cam says the cat did It!!
All Commonwealth shillings are "drekky." Plus I know it didn't have a CAC sticker.
Innocent until proven guilty. Get that dog a lawyer!
This situation reminds me of @lordmarcovan 's 2011 story. I think his slab survived a bit better.

Intestinal toning ?
I would hate to see what Cam would have done to the slab if your coin was graded by a third tier company? Oh, the humanity!!!
Man, looks like a couple bites came close.
Wow! That pooch means business!!!
With a face like that you had to give her a treat, right?
Hope she never decides to play poker - that face is the ultimate "tell".

I pieced most of it together. I'll find out very shortly. Last week her #2's were filled with red rubber pieces. She ate her favorite toy. A hard rubber red Kong diving toy. It was guaranteed not to be able to be destroyed. The Beast is an exception

Adorable! My mother used to have Bull Mastiffs - Mr. Eureka and I watched her first one win Best of Breed at Westminster during the pre-Long Beach auctions around 10 years ago...

Mastiffs were all the rage during the medieval period, so it seems appropriate to bring them back together again.

Great story...wonderful pup.
It couldn't have been Cam that did it. It was a burglar dog, who locked the door from the inside on his way out. Cam would have woke you up, but she knew that you were tired and needed a good night's sleep!
I knew it would happen.
Nice ending with that mug.
Cam and Alabama are part of your “True Romance”, Mark, I suspect.
Got my roommates 90lb pit bull a sweet Kong Star Wars Tie Fighter toy for $30. He tore it half before I got up the stairs. I figure it worked out to $1 a second.

A lot of people like brown, crusty toning as long as it isn't overdone.
@Justacommeman - Feed her a lot of mashed potatoes or bread. It will help coat any plastic shards she may have swallowed and reduce the risk of perforating her intestines. This is what was recommended to me when my dog swallowed a six inch pork rib bone when the vet's office was unsure if they could find a qualified person to do an emergency endoscopy on my dog Christmas day.
@Regulated please send me pics! Amazing.>

Doesn't matter what they do, you love'em just the same. And of course they make you feel bad for scolding them.

I like your puppy better than the coin

PF70?
You will be thanking the puppy when the coin upgrades
Update. Finally got the opportunity a couple weeks ago to drop this coin off at the Legend auction and resubmit it. PCGS was set up there. The coin stayed the same grade. 700 year coins are tough cookies
The Beast. Fortunately for all involved ( (especially Penny) that is not our other dog in her mouth.

Goes to show, beef jerky and coins don't mix in a dogs world. Its a teddy bear and lounge chair world out there folks.
The coin looks awesome having gone through "the grinder". Nice looking dog!
