I keep trying to close the business case on buying an airplane. My flying club is just a bit too inexpensive for me to justify it right now.

    Bingo.

They don't come to market very often. I had my chance a few years ago but couldn't come to grips with the price. It was a higher grade and more than twice as much. I passed. It sold quickly. Sigh.

I chased one of those on an auction well past my wallet and thank god someone bought it. Those are very beautiful coins despite the "Colombian half expo" syndrome.

Right now I'm saving up for what I owe ebay at the end of the month. :D

I have been laying off buying coins and just sold two at nice profits. I hope soon to buy some more 65-6 walkers. Business is good so if it keeps up they'll be here sooner :)

I would like this coin in AU58 to finish my Everyman's Buffalo Nickel collection. Had it but didn't like the strike so I sold it.

My wants are modest. Trying to keep enough squirreled away to buy the needed OBW Roosie rolls should they become available. (See sig line)

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

I’ve been keeping my powder dry for that one thing that will flip my lid. Don’t know what it is yet, but when I see it I will know. I will buy it if it is not priced at moon. If it is, I will move on, as the intersection of WOW and “I can live with that” is out there and worth waiting for. Until then I’ll enjoy what I already have.

No, I'm retired and am in spending mode. Bought a 100k Jeep Trackhawk early this year and spent about that on coins too, but the year is only half over.

@CCGGG ...Nice choice.... I have several Colts... One is a custom (Mark Morris, Spokane)...and that one is awesome..... Just have heard so much about Ed Brown and Les Baer that I figured maybe one more custom gun....maybe. Cheers, RickO

I don't know a lot about Ed Brown but I'm very familiar with Les Baer's guns. Just never "pulled the trigger" :D:D:D on that yet.

    Never met a 1911 that I didn't like.

@CCGGG ...Both are expensive....but their reputation intrigues me... Not sure they can be better than the custom I have... My ambition is to be able to shoot as well as that gun will allow me :D:D Cheers, RickO

    Cyanide.

No really, I am learning to do wet plate collodion photography, (Civil War and before era). To fix tintypes and ambrotypes many people use cyanide! There are more “modern” chemicals that are safer, but they’re not as good. I’ve been using them, but now it’s time to step it up.
