In December I started another casual sideline set, just for fun.

It is a Dansco # 7172 Silver Dollar Date Set album. This is the "one-per-year" album. It covers Morgans through Ikes.

The album has been kept protectively wrapped to stay in like-new condition, and includes a slipcase. For pictures of the album itself, and the page layouts, click that thumbnail in the main gallery.

All of the moderns (Ikes & SBAs) are Mint State. Most were taken from mint packaging.

For the Morgan and Peace dollars, I decided to pursue attractive, original grey-toned circulated examples with a matching look, rather than buying Mint State pieces. Click the gallery link above and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I only recently started on the Peace dollars and they are quite tough to find with a nice, original "crusty" grey look that matches the theme, so there are only two in the album so far. But one is a 1921 High Relief coin.

I'd like to sell or swap this set. Maybe someone else will enjoy completing it from the strong start I've made, whether or not they continue the "Greysilver" theme I have going with the earlier types.

As of this post I have not completed the spreadsheet of my costs, so - Update: spreadsheet done, & asking price in my next post below.

As to swap offers, I'd possibly be interested in a single 19th century type coin or piece of US gold of similar value. (High eye appeal and good pictures an absolute must, PCGS preferred but not absolutely necessary.)

Thanks for looking.

Update: I have now crunched the numbers. Here are my costs:

My asking price is $665.00. This includes includes Priority Mail insured shipping within the USA, so as you can see, I'm essentially offering it at cost, and the 1900-O Morgan is free, since it didn't cost me anything (it was a gift from my thoughtful and still-unknown CoinTalk Secret Santa).

Anyone interested? I've had a few small "nibbles" already, both here and on CoinTalk. But no firm offers as yet.

I'm not dead-set against the idea of breaking this up, either, so if anyone is interested in the album itself- or the album and some but not necessarily all of the coins, let me know. You can see my costs in the spreadsheet. Cost plus shipping is all I'd ask.

(Sorry, I won't be selling the 1900-O for $0.00, unless you were a contributor to the "LM2E" movement five years ago, in which case that one is yours for the asking.)
