CoinStar find ... just pocket change...

Heading home after 10 P.M. last night and hit the Safeway for a few bottles of milk
..... 9 clad Roosevelt dimes... 5 cents .... 10c Euro .... 1c Euro
I'm thinking the Euros caused the reject of the US
I've found 28 cents metal detecting the last few weeks so for me this a huge haul lol

Fun find......I think I will start looking at our local CoinStar too
There has to be a ddo, rpm,ddr or error in that group surely!
ALWAYS check the Coinstar. Depending on where it is located you may feel like a dork, but do it anyway. Last year I found a handful of silver - about $13 face value in silver dimes and quarters. I don't care how uncool I looked pulling it out of there.
it only looks dorkish if the reject bin is empty..
I at least am cool enough not to stick my hand in unless I know there is something there.
According to some they ALL are.
But can a border collie grade them?
Grades them ruff.
Now forever known as the Treasure Find at Safeway.

A marketing genius!
That's all I needed.
I'll take it from here.
Thank you.

I see a corroded coin ... you may be rich! OK, just kidding. My own Coinstar finds in the past two weeks have been an absolute zero ... not so much as a Canadian cent.
Call it the Magnificent Treasure Find at Safeway...and it will even add more value. LOL
Registory set?
I have not found anything in the Coinstar for over a month...maybe two.... the clerks/managers are keeping it well cleaned now....I would have to camp out by the machine to get anything...
Cheers, RickO
I have two coinstar machines near me. I have never seen anything in them. People must be stalking them.
Found a sure fire way to get at the inside of a coin star machine... I went last night with 8 Ike dollars, thinking that it would be able to deal with them. The machine flipped out and stopped running, requiring someone to open it up, retrieve the bad coin(s), and pay out my transaction. If there’s anything in the inside bins aside from the Ike, you can lay claim to it.
Not sure how many times you could try this at your local shop - they may start to recognize you after a couple of these

Never thought of that. May have to try it. I found a nickel and 3 zincolns today and they were as new. Can't figure why they were rejected, and yes I felt kind of dorky digging in there.
