Hello, I'm new, Would you say with your experience that this 1979 Proof set is a Type 2 (clear "S")?

Hello, I'm a new collector, and for the life of me I can't figure out if this set I own is a type 2 or not.
I see some examples and think, yes, 100%, and then I see some type 1's and I start doubting myself.

What would you say? (also first time photographing coins)

Here is the link to the google drive folder with all of the photos I took of the set (25 photos)

Also any comments/tips/advice I'll greatly appreciate!

Thank you all!

Here is a graphic to help:

As for your coin, I can't view it without clicking on an external link which I do not do for security purposes.

I appreciate your help, going off of the half dollar I posted in this thread, would you say it's a type 2?

My last post was cross posted. I didn't see this. It looks like a Type 2 to me (clear S).

Welcome to the forum @walt899! From your photos (which are not bad, by the way) I surely consider them to be the clear S variety.

That's good news seeing how I got it for the type 1 price!
These coins aren't worth grading I'm guessing though?
To get the best return I guess just ebaying the whole set is the easiest way to go?

Yes, I would sell as is.

I do not need to see the entire coin, just the mintmark - but alas as my eyes get older it gets harder for me.

Coinfacts have some nice pictures of mintmarks.

It is my understanding that the sets may contain all type 1, type 2, or mixture of both.

The Kennedy looks like a Type 2.
Unless it would come back 70DCAM it would not be worth submitting, probably.

@walt899...Welcome aboard... Yes, it looks like a type 2.... and as said above, not worth slabbing unless graded 70DCAM... Cheers, RickO

This year can be confusing because sometimes there is a mixture of the two types in the same holder. I’ve seen where everything but the SBA is type 2 and the SBA s type 1.
