Bought from a not so good pics as AU from someone who pulled it out of a roll search.
Told them it would be worth more Certified, but they just wanted a big roll search hit and
didn't want to take the time and expense to have it graded.
Below are his pics. True View when it shows.

1992-D 1C Close AM, RB MS63RB

    MS63 is the new AU

MS 63 is the new BS 63.
Really, as I mentioned in another post, the services should just do away with "MS" and but a big bold number on the slab.

    63

1/2 or more of the slabs I see in 60-63 aren't "unc."

    Nice find!

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

the vertigri on the reverse is troublesome and a little bit disturbing.

I would ask if everyone knows the difference between rub, which would mean AU, and darker tone over surfaces that still show luster, which would mean Mint State??? if the graders at PCGS actually saw the coin in-hand my thoughts are that they would be a better judge of luster than forum members looking at a picture.

There is no telling how many of these "Close AM" cents flow through commerce on a daily basis. I don't even pay attention to zincolns...my loss I reckon.

I'm assuming the original finder wasn't searching an OBW roll of cents, otherwise he would have called it Unc.....but apparently it's 'Unc-enough'.

We need an icon of someone playing a violin.... It would go well in response to these old tunes..."AU" - "NO MS"...."Rub" - "No rub"....over and over again....Oh well... Congratulations to the OP... nice pick up. Cheers, RickO
