I am a sucker for those short stories! I only have 4 Coin shops around that are within 30 ish miles.I have not been through all the inventory, But as far as my skills/personal interests have taken me So I like to read up on other's ventures. Thank you in advance :smile:

    I have cherrypicked a few AH Kennedy's.....That is why at shows I always asked if the dealer had older proof sets I could look through... also picked up two AH sets at gun shows....Cheers, RickO

    Where to begin? Favorite/Best? I picked up a nice 1908 1C (unattributed) MPD FS-301 S-4 (011.77) MS65RB PhotoSeal/CAC, and flipped it on the bay for a nice tidy sum.

    The PUP is the loop of one digits within the denticles below the "8"

    Not cherry picks per se because neither the auctioneer nor I recognized it at the time.

    In the Superior Charles Ruby Part 3 sale I bought what I thought was a 1850 P mint half-eagle that ended up being a 1850 Weak C when I finally submitted it a couple of years ago. I didn't catch it when submitted but NGC did and it was real obvious after they pointed it out.

    In the same sale I also purchased a 1854 half-eagle that turned out to be a DDO FS-101, that one I did recognize via my Cherrypickers' Guide prior to submission.

    <---- my avatar for $110 on eBay. The bad pictures kept the price down. The coin ended up grading MS-65.

    I don't cherrypick varieties, if that is all that you mean. Just underappreciated raw coins.

    MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    This one is a favorite of mine, an 1877-S FS-301 RPD Trade Dollar w/ Chop Mark, one of the strongest RPDs in the T$ series. Came out an ICG XF40 Details holder.

    Probably this one I cherried for $200 in 2005. Paid $200 and later sold it for $10,350.

    I replaced it with this AU53 cherried a couple of years later for $25. I still have it.

    I found a 5 leg Buffalo(1930) many years ago at a show. It just so happened that JT Stanton was at the show and he confirmed it. Wish I still had it actually. It was very nice! :/

    Well most here see what I pick not all of it but some of it most in the $2k to $3k range but I think the best was this one Picked it for $700 raw just in the GSA holder then it graded MS67 sold it for $14K

    Next some Chinese $ coin pick for $175 sold at auction for $12k

    This was my latest it was raw a 1915-P two fathers buffalo. Don't know what it's worth but it's a nice coin for what I paid for it. Traded 3 GSA for it I paid $800 for the GSA's.

    This set as well is going to be a very good pick as well.

    I have to many to post but I do have fun doing what I do.

    Not sure if it's my favorite but it's the most recent.
    I bought this 1877s dime in an online auction that had horrible pictures. I paid just over $200 for it. Just came back last week as a ms65. Should be worth about 3k.

    Found it in an unattributed holder for 400. Sold it for 1250. Buyer had it upgraded to a MS62. Definitely one of my better finds.

    I bought this raw off EBay for $235, it graded MS-62 Chopmark which is a pop 2 coin and tied for finest known. I sold it to a well known collector for a nice profit.
