Lower graded Morgans in old PCGS rattlers?

I know this seems like an odd inquiry but I have been interested in finding some lower graded Morgans in the old PCGS rattler cases. Online I can only find higher grades most being MS and maybe one or two AUs. Is there a reason for this?

Are you talking about lowball coins?
The interest in lowballs wasn't "mainstream" in those days.
Many collectors do not care for the rattlers and also look for upgrades... I would recommend going to a couple of the large coin shows (FUN, Baltimore, Long Beach)..... There you will have the best chance to find what you are looking for - and do not forget to ask the dealers - often there is stock behind the table they do not set out....Cheers, RickO
Eventually most rattlers will be gone as new collectors will want the coin rather than a holder with a sideways mounted coin. This happened to many NGC coins after introducing current holder configuration. Maybe PCGS will offer bulk reholder deal for rattlers to improve their image and the look of their product. I think this obsession with holders is a distraction but to each their own! Is there a name for the study of holders like numismatics is used for coins ?
Plastinumia? Polymismatists? Dunno.
Rattlers (used from 1986 to 1989) were not really liked because the coins would rotate in the holders. They gained their recent popularity because of the perception that coins found in them are undergraded.
