A beautiful coin with an interesting story

I was offered this coin a few months back...fortunately after I had just sold the Seated Dollar set or it would have gone with the set. It is hands down the finest Seated Dollar that I’ve ever seen...with the possible exception of the MS67 1849.
The back story is that the coin was owned by a prominent Oregon family for over a century. The dealer that I bought it from held it in his own personal collection since buying it from the family estate. His supposition was that the family acquired the coin in the year of issue to commemorate Oregon’s entrance into statehood.

That is very cool!! I would love to know more about the history of this coin. I love the history of Oregon as it's my home state. Did you by chance find out the name of the family it originally came from? Or even possibly the dealer that bought it?
Wow, underscores provenance. Very nice, thanks for sharing!
