Any info on this 'CC' counterstamp?

Hi folks,
Does anyone have any information on the 'CC' counterstamp on this 1806 Draped Bust half? There appears to be no reference in the Brunk text. Thanks.

    Wow. Love the look on that coin. The CC adds character for sure but what a shame!

    If done with individual letter punches (as it appears to be) then there is little chance it will ever be identified, especially at this point.
