update hard to find coins

hello all. it's been about a year since I asked this for the 1st time and now am asking again. what coins are hard to find? I don't mean wide AM or expensive. More like low mintage (2009 business strike). or 2006 P new mexico or 2005P west virginia. they're out there but try to get em. a good challenge. what are you looking for between 1970-2017? at an affordable price?

?? I find these coins all the time while searching rolls. They are not particularly hard to find, and in any case if you find them they are only worth face value.

Well welcome back. 2009 the business strike Nickel was a good one. There are a lot of coins out there to pick from, but one needs to stay focus. If some one ask do you want this coin or that coin. I will go with a coin I can get the most $$$ for when I sell it at that time. Not the one that may be worth more in 10 or 20 years from now.

I have made a lot of $$$ on the new stuff like the Lincoln Cent back in 2009 when they 1st where out but I was in them at face, I sold most I just kept 40 errors coins and 3 or 4 box's of ea type and one box of ea Nickel "P" and one "D" other then that for the small stuff not much kept me excited. I like the "S" minted Quarters but other then that I'm not in on a lot of the stuff the mint is putting out. I'll buy the Business strikes at face and hold on to them you never know but only the Cents, Nickels and Dimes..

    Hoard the keys.

Funny you mention that, because today I went through a few boxes that had many, many coins in them and I just threw many late date low mintage Kennedy's into the till, anyhow it good beer money

I guess I have heard of a couple of recent date coins that attracted attention... but briefly and no significant numismatic value (yes, some premium, but small). I do not know of any recent mint coins that are scarce or carrying premiums. Cheers, RickO
