How many Wheat Cents can you haul in the back of a half ton pick up truck?

Assume that they are rolled, security is not an issue and you do not want to exceed the recommended capacity.

IDK, about 2920 rolls give er take
Steve
According to the weight in the cab of persons and carryon around 3000 rolls. less the additional weight.

I'm not sure about a half-ton pickup, but I can comment on a Ford Escort.
An Escort can accommodate 26 bags (2600 rolls). I know this for a fact as that is what a dealer friend showed up in when I sold him 26 bags. I was a little shocked. We put bags in the trunk, back seat, passenger seat, the floors......You should have see that car driving away ! He didn't have a crosstown trip ahead of him either, two states away........
A half-ton?
depends on the GVW .
I agree
!! 900 pounds of Wheats plus a driver and fuel! Wholly boatload Batman.
Or more specifically aroung 1000 pounds.
IF you have good springs.
380,700 EXACTLY.

Cool!
A half ton truck would be 145,849.63665594 at 3.11 grams a piece.
Ford or Chevy ?

"37 pounds" stated the exasperated woodchuck.
I need to Google that and get back to you.

Anyone else getting the feeling that the OP is running out of thread topics?

He still has plenty of Robinson commems though.
Does it really matter. Who's gonna buy them ? I've been looking to sell my 15K or so pre 1982 cents and nobody wants them..... not even scrap buyers will handle them.
Not much for the scrap dealers to do with them. They are legally protected from melting.
More important is who really cares anymore?
why do you all assume a half ton truck carries 1000 pounds of cargo? most half tons can carry a full ton . Most one ton trucks can carry two tons.
The half ton , 1 ton , 2 1/2 ton gibberish dates back to pre ww2 days .
I just realized most of you are older than that , and those pre war trucks were brand new when you started driving.
A guy looking for traction??
I have a 3/4T 4WD, and do use the 4WD on occasion.
Bring me you wheaties, and fill my truck, and we will see. Don't worry if it appears I am driving off with all of them, I am just heading to a scale to weigh it all.
I cashed all of mine in a little while ago.

The owners manual - go fish it out of the trash - tells you the actual load limit of the truck.

I really LIKE people like you.
I make good $$ selling used owner's manuals when people buy a car and the previous owner tossed it in the trash.
Trash away Dude.
Mine and my wife's - both 10+ y/o cars - live in the glove compartment.
But I work in IT and "When all else fails, fish the manual/instructions out of the trash and read them" is common.

The correct answer is : "One or more."
My truck can tow 8,000 lbs. It has a max capacity of 5 passengers. If I have a tailwind at 70mph, will I reach Chicago before 6pm? Do I arrive in time to beat Train B, or do I miss my flight getting stuck at Train A? How much change do I receive, and in what denominations?
Show your work.
You need to allow for condition/wear which can reduce weight.
I suggest you grade each coin then make a chart showing average weight per coin for each date.
Then using chart and number of coins per date recalculate weight................
Let us know the answer.
