Never tell your wife she is wrong, whether or not she is. Wrong planchant would be a dime planchant and the color of a dime.

Never tell her how much you spend on coins, either.

Hahaha I know , i know... but the United States also mints coins for other countries that’s why I was thinking maybe it was struck on a different planchet of similar content. Also she won’t be mad if she’s wrong , it’s a side bet... and I think she’s gonna lose!

I don't think we've made coins for other countries for many years.

Rims are there but thin. My guess is that it was struck with a little lighter pressure so it did not spread out quite as much.

    Weigh it to be sure....

Standard weight for a 1980 penny is 3.11 grams, this penny weighs 2.1 grams

Reduced in weight and size by acid.

    I have a similar 2 cent piece. It's a bit fuzzier, though.
It looks like yours hit the acid mostly with the reverse side.
Can be done with Coca-cola or other acidic solutions.

Not sure about the cent, but you should have that mole looked at by a dermatologist :)

Looks like a mole but it’s actually a divot in my skin what you see is the shadow . The chicks dig it. No more coin pics on my arm or hand , promise! :)

It's funny but not really all mole's should be looked at. Just having fun on the board don't take it to hart.

90% said in jest - @Type2 is correct - but for background I prefer something a bit less... Biological.
