What's going on with this Lincoln cent ?

    Some die wear but also looks like it was struck through a ton of grease.

    Yes as said up top struck through grease. A cool coin I like it.

    Here is one that was a weak strike.

    I think it looks like a strike through grease as well, but the "look" of the coin is quite odd.
    Might just be the image though.

    The first two guys above got it right, as usual.
    (but no die wear, imo)

    It's a struck thru - 'grease' or some type of
    machinery oil/grease, from the Presses.

    (I just thought I saw some crazy stuff independent of the grease in the words ONE CENT that made me think die wear.)

    Neat find and one to keep for the 'education' file.... When posting these coins, and getting answers, it is good to print out a copy of the thread and keep it with the coin. Cheers, RickO

    So . . . What did it grade?

    Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
    Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
