As @AUandAG implied, such a medal could take years to design, but perhaps a preliminary design might have a safer world (emphasis on the US and South Korea) on one side, and beach resorts and tourism on the other side.
They tried to design a similar medal after the Iran deal a few years ago, but they couldn't figure out how to make a one sided coin.
Seems a simple, and easily accomplished task. Take the official releases and extract statements -- who got what....for immediate consumption. Sure, all agreements or understandings are long-term and might take decades to fulfill. But if we followed that, there would never be recognition of anything. What would the Peace dollar commemorate if it wasn't issued until 1931 - following the Japanese invasion of Manchuria?
Keep it simple and direct. The US gave this and received that; N. Korea US gave this and received that. The rest could go on the medal's edge.

Look's like the White House is cracking down on Scalpers and Scammers selling their COINS on Ebay, and have NOTIFIED EBAY! Secret Service will they be called out throughout the world to track them down? Or are they over worked protecting their own? I wonder if the Russian's are involved? These scammers are attempting to dupe people into pre-ordering our coins (a strange pre-order of a pre-order scheme) on eBay and other auction sites at egregious prices as much as or often more than $999.00! In their efforts, these scammers are using our photos, our wriiten messages, our logos, our generous pre-order special pricing, and our United States Patent and Trademark Office protected marks — on a variety of auction sites in their ads, copy, and with ouright appropriation, theft, actually, of other intellectual property of the only original official White House Gift Shop.
We have alerted eBay® to this situation, have filed applicable U.S. Trademark complaints with eBay® and will continue monitoring all auction sites for gross abuses of our marks, and policies.
FWIW I read an article yesterday that said the WH Gift Shop medals will have a mintage (castage?) of 100,000 and ordering will be shut down around July 13 or so (forget the date).
These are not to be confused with the official challenge coins that the White House had made for participants in the summit,

All the WH Store site can do is impose order limits, or other small adjustments consistent with prior policies. USSS won't get involved unless there are allegations of activity threatening those under its protection. Any other possible action comes under the FBI's purview, and I don't think there are any laws prohibiting "ugly medals."
RogerB you would think the very fact that they are loosing market share by the hackers and con artist on Ebay I would think a mass arrest like a ICE force but take down the Internet Scammers would suffice. Capt if the medals come from China they could be made with hazardous paint and medal's. It might require a special permit to ship across state lines. Hazardous stickers and all! Boy wont that make you feel safe when you get that package? It might even have mercury in it making it highly dangerous. Maybe even laced with poison from North Korea. 1 touch and down you go!

Okay its now August 7th and I keep getting the run around from the White House Gift Shop. They were suppose to ship out August 1st or at least start.

Capt if the medals come from China they could be made with hazardous paint and medal's. It might require a special permit to ship across state lines. Hazardous stickers and all! Boy wont that make you feel safe when you get that package? It might even have mercury in it making it highly dangerous. Maybe even laced with poison from North Korea. 1 touch and down you go!
