Small numeric 6 on reverse, below M. Anyone see similar in seated coinage? Peace Roy

"Error" implies "made by the mint".
In this case, with a coin that worn and beat up, you have a long row to hoe to prove that wasn't done with a punch and hammer, by weird Uncle Willy, after a few beers in 1942.
In other words...available information says post mint damage. Might be a 6, might just be the start of a nail hole that kinda/sorta looks like a 6.
Damaged in circulation. Not Mint made.
Strange things happen when they leave the mint. Sometimes by chance and sometimes on purpose. This could be the latter but likely the former.

Too beat up to tell. Photos can't be blamed this time.
Thanks all. Pmd for sure. Back to looking. Peace Roy

All I see here is a nasty beat up Dime...nothing done at the mint.
PMD... looks like a dug coin.... I do see the 'shape of a six', but that is pure coincidence... Cheers, RickO
