Now is the time to catch up with my coin collection due to a car accident this morning.

I was rear ended by another driver on the way to work today. I made a left turn and stopped before the crosswalk for some high school kids. The SUV behind me was not paying attention and pretty much destroyed my rear bumper and close to breaking my neck.
I was released from hospital not long ago. However the pain killer is starting to wear off. So I must distract myself by collecting more coins.

Feel better soon. I always worry about that happening too, I sure hope you don't have whiplash.
You're gonna feel like you got hit by a truck tomorrow. Might only be able to move the computer mouse for a few days.
PS, buy my coins on E-Bay. K, tx, bye.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon. Coins will definitely take your mind off of it and cheer you up!! Buy yourself something, as a get well soon gift...
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Be careful, pain killers can lead to poor decisions.
Yes....and drink LOTS of water.
LOTS.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Neck deals are no fun.
Mine is messed up from 3 accidents....two the fault of other drivers and one the fault of a deer.
It'll hurt worse tomorrow
Any HS kids scared by it?
Ouch. Glad that you were able to get out of the hospital.
Bad news. I was rear ended about 20 years ago. Terrible feeling. I was stopped at a light and a big truck hit me going 50 or so. It destroyed my car and damaged the 3 cars in front of me.....chain reaction! It's like getting knocked into next week!
Get well soon.
Yes . They were screaming while jumping out of the way while my car was pushed toward them. And I am glad no one beside me was hurt.
And yes, pain killer is highly addictive. The last thing I want is to be addict to morphine again. I took those for couple months back in active duty and broke my leg by few thousands lbs of scrap metal.
You are right to be wary of Painkillers.I had 2 diff spinal injuries and I always took the min dose except at night so I could sleep and threw them away as soon as I could.Speedy recovery my friend.
Here’s a coin to cheer you up & take the pain away.
Get better soon. Don’t take any settlement money for injuries until your darn sure everything is OK. I’ve seen too many people close things out only to have issues crop up later. Your health is EVERYTHING.
In 1964 I was in the back seat of a 1961 Chevy Impala four door when we were stopped waiting to turn left to go to Boulder Beach at Lake Mead. Summer, afternoon, double date with my buddy who was driving. Two lane highway, clear skies and no sun problems. My buddy was alert and saw a car approaching from behind at a high rate of speed (no speed limits in Nevada back then). His date sitting next to him turned to say something to her girlfriend sitting next to me and she just screamed! Richie, my buddy, saw it too and had the presence of mind to throw it into neutral and take his foot off the brake. Damn we were hit hard and propelled across the highway and then back again and out into the desert before we ended up back on the highway.
Thanks to his quick thinking and her scream we all realized what was happening and absolutely nobody in our car got hurt except me with my elbow banged up and Richie's girl with a small cut from the rear view mirror. We were all thrown down and to the left before we bounced around a few times.
We were hit so hard that the paint on the chevy just fell straight to the ground. The car that hit us was a Ford falcon and you could read the Ford imprinted in our rear by the headlight rings on his car. His car stopped and burst into flames a few seconds later (electric fuel pump was just spewing it all over). Richie and I ran back and pulled the driver out of his car. His chest had eaten the steering wheel, his right foot was missing under the motor that was pretty much in his lap. We did manage to get him to safety and he did live. He spent over a year in Las Vegas hospitals before he was released. He was late getting back to his military base in S. Cal and had been driving straight through from Ohio and just fell asleep. Highway patrol put that his speed was in excess of 120 mph as it was pegged and stuck on the speedometer.
Harvey Leonard Hess, Cal license MOG910, if you're reading this I hope you healed all the way.
The 1961 Chevy's had six tail lights, three on each side. Oddest thing was all the plastic covering the light bulbs were gone but all the bulbs still worked. Can't forget that stull!
The next few days was no easy feelings.....Damn the third day after was the worst. Can't say that there was a spot on my body that didn't hurt. Same with the other three. But, we all healed too and are just left with those memories. Thank God you didn't hit those kids. Your neck will get better and you can fix the car.
Be well my friend,

bob
Hope that you feel better soon.
Sorry to hear that.
Get well.
I hope you get expert legal assistance right away

Sounds like whiplash, time to contact Jackie Chiles.
In most states this is your fault. Even if the other driver was being non-vigalent. Please don't text and drive! Especially in a school zone.
Oh my, hope you get better soon !!!

Wow get well soon.
Hoard the keys.
I hate to hear it. Unplanned for physical setbacks can be Hard to accept. Try to take your time relaxing and healing. I agree that your love of coins will be a blessing.
Who was texting and driving? And who was in school zone? In every state 9 out 10 rear-ended was fault of a driver who tailgated or reckless driving.
I called up my ex partner/legal assistance before the cop even got there. He was in DMV court 10mins away from the accident.
Yes . This is the worst timing ever since my new business , an organic food mart is in the final stage of construction after three years with lot of issues due to permits etc. I basically knocked down entire oldest night club in Long island and built it from scratch.
Sorry to hear. Glad everyone made it home OK. Terrifying thing to happen. I still sometimes wake up screaming from a bad wreck 7 yrs ago. I'm surprised anybody lived we all ended up in crushed soda cans.
Glad the Hs kids are OK, too, jeez of all places to get rear ended.
Happened to me this past Monday. Fellow pulled out in front of me, I couldn't stop or move in time. It's the first time I've experience air bag deployment. But no injuries.
I will probably be selling some PM to buy another car.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but glad you will recover and the kids in the crossing are OK. Do not be in a hurry to settle, the other driver's insurance company will try to pressure you. There can be further issues not yet detected. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
Ouch. I loathe car accidents.

Not if you're driving backwards and slam into the stopped car behind you.
What about the one in ten? Also, that's a made up statistic. There are two types of statistics offered on the internet. Those that are made up and those that I offer.
That's what she said.
1964 must have been a bad year.
I was in a 1955 Desoto, as a passenger in the back seat, waiting to turn left across an undivided 4 lane highway due to an Army convoy traveling the other way, in New York, just over the crest of a railway bridge. Horrible design, accidents all the time due to no visibility. Short version, 1955 Chevy towing a boat comes over the crest, 0 reaction time, slams into the Desoto. I wound up in the front seat area on the floor, with a concussion, and a nice gash from the radio knob, etc., and the lower rear seat on top of the driver and myself, tossed from the back to the front. The passenger in the Chevy thrown THROUGH the windshield and down the highway. That is not his day to go, as one of the Army trucks was a field hospital operating room, and they literally opened up the truck on the shoulder of the highway, and saved his life.

What possibly lead you to believe the OP was texting and driving? They stated that they had just turned left and then stopped at a crosswalk to let pedestrians across. Had they been texting and driving, they would have more than likely hit the students because they didn't stop.
