There was once a Saint given away on this Forum by a fun poster we sadly don't see much of a anymore.

Wow, that would be a heck of a giveaway!

The real gold is just reading your messages, and you share that with all of us! You don't need to go up and beyond that!

You don't have to wait until you are about to check in to the other side.....share and enjoy it early or earlier o:)

.......................whoever got them had to be very happy about getting them but I know it makes you happy to do it so you do what makes you happy but I don't think I could give away something that nice away (unless I was about to die and knew it would make someone very happy like I know that coin would lol).

Your giveaway coin looks counterfeit. Nevertheless, it is a valuable prize. That is possibly the most valuable contest prize ever awarded. The image is not sharp so I'll just say I'm 95% sure it is NG. Why not take it to Long Beach and they will tell you for sure. Then you can trade its gold value for another coin to add to your collection.

You don't need to give things away, we all enjoy your posts <3 as evidenced by your "likes."

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but my take is the OP's perspective is "want" not "need".

The reverse looks very bad to me. The obverse not as much. I was leaning fake as well.

You are correct. "Need" is a sloppy usage and not really slang. I guess it is similar to your use of "take" - no? But I don't "take" offense. o:)

Such a pretty little gold piece. Why give it away?

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Oh, but gold is involved and you know that is something that makes everyone a little goofy around here. Especially the prospect of FREE gold?

I agree with those that say your gold dollar is fake. It's probably real gold though with about $64 worth of gold. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it. Unless you're an expert authenticator avoid buying raw US gold coins.
