Everyone seemed way more excited and happier at coins shows when silver was in the high 30's. I think a run up in bullion prices is a rising tide that lifts all boats
if I were to judge on what our customers do and the action at shows I attend it seems people get nervous and stop buying/selling when the price is stagnant. that has been happening for a long time now. if PM's are going up or going down people seem to get confident, sort of like feeling that they know what's going to happen.
it is strange, maybe because I don't dabble in bullion.
China will continue to buy our T-bonds because it fuels ...easy... money for dumb Americans to spend on Chinese crap.
Since they sell such worthless junk to us, they don't really ...CARE... how much meager interest they earn.
They make it up on the profit from the crap.
The thing that helps the ...coin...market the most is ...FLUCTUATING metal prices.
People rush to buy....OR SELL...scrap and bullion and the dealers get the "spread" money and have more spendable income.
We sold the MOST rare coins during the most ACTIVE metal markets.

some bullion dealers have their prices tied to spot gold prices, they increase or decrease in price with every change in the spot gold price
