Schlitz lager must have improved since I was a kid growing up in the Milwaukee area.
Nobody I knew drank it - Pabst and Old Style were popular. Miller High Life up there too (no Miller Lite in those days). I preferred Schlitz Malt Liquor in 8 oz cans. A six pack cost $1.05 and was good for a couple of buzzes.

My wife has had coverage on non stop for 8 hours. I have to admit I peeked in a couple times. Very cool. I enjoy British Traditions. My sister married a Brit and they had a ceremony here and in the UK. The Great Britain wedding was awesome.
Sometimes we forget how young we are as a nation. I like these time honored traditions like the Royals. I wish we had and had more time to enjoy simple pleasures like this. They really get into it as do much of the world

My brother-in-law, now a U.S. citizen and a 1st Lieutenant in the Colorado Army National Guard is from Winchester, so I've made many trips to the U.K. The Royal Family may not be everyone's cup of tea (pun intended) but I too enjoy the pageantry and rich, deep history.
Not to mention the relevance to our own country's founding.
GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.
Watched it all with the wife. Our nations histories are inextricably tied since 1776 and will be forever. As others have said, we don't have the pomp and circumstance on this side of the pond. Enjoyed the broadcast.
The British royalty is an embarrassment - glad we are free from them.

WTF was up with that dress. She could have worn ANY dress in the world. But whatevs. She still looked good and the faces on those royals when the black American pastor and quior were up was nothing short of priceless.

Just poking fun at you a bit here. Been to church lately? What the heck is a quior? Is that even a word?
At least you were kinda in church today.

Laughing their collective royal arses off during the pastor's address.

No. I really like England... been there often....and have worked for a British company for years. However, I have no interest in these events...There is a gun show today in my area though..and I will be there... Actually getting ready to leave shortly. Now that will be fun. Cheers, RickO
Only watched the highlights in the news segments. It was a small bright spot on what has been yet another tiring snd sh***y news week here in the US. It seems like this latest generation of young royals are at least lurching into the 21st century.
Who knows, one of them could end up on a Tyrant collection coin one day!
Nah. i missed it and went metal detecting with my youngest son. He's gotten good at it. No silver on royal Saturday but he did find one each 1862, 1883, and 1888 IHC's on the site we were hunting. They all have full LIBERTY,no corrosion and look great for having been lost before the dawn of the 20th century.
i found a spoon. Not silver but easily could have been.

A "discount" to me would be around $100 for 5 . What suckers are they trying to selll to?

I watched... And it was almost unbelieveable on several levels. First, Megan set a new standard for beauty and simplicity. And it might be a good thing that there are no Royals anticipated in the immediate horizon that will be married. This will be tough to follow as it had something for everyone...
-Cars- including but not limited to the 1950 RR Phaetom VI and a 1968 Jag XK-E
-History... The setting and overall look of Windsor.
-History and jewelry- the tiara selected by Megan dates back to 1932 and was owned by Queen Mary
-R&B... I was stunned into a positive silence that Stand By Me was even selected... Very cool. And I will take it a step further that those doing the commentary had no clue as to how popular R&B is in the UK. Quite sad and unfortunate...
-Perfect weather
-Excellent camera angles
-Tradition was modernized in a very compelling manner
-And as for Camilla... All I can say is let Camilla be Camilla. She can stop wearing a hat the size of Rhode Island when our President can correctly tweet the name of his wife.

Not on any United States coins though I don't think?

I am surprised Ricko.
I know, but if I posted this in the PM forum, Cohodk would put up a chart demonstrating that the wedding was really on July 21st.
Was exactly what I was going to mention! 2 down 1 to go Justify!

That is a PERFECT example of genteel and subtle passive aggression.
"Let's see, how can I ruin the whole thing and not be thought of as trying to?"
It almost HAS to be that because if it's an example of her looking in the mirror and thinking, "how PRETTY" then the empire is in real REAL trouble.
Royal wedding was so amazing. I partied so hard probably have to call in sick tomorrow. Don't tell boss that's the reason why. lulz
