Presidential Coin and Chronicle Sets, Need Info...

ECHOESECHOES Posts: 2,974 ✭✭✭✭✭

To my understanding there were 5(?) sets produced with a Silver Medal struck on a ASE blank.
Need to know the sets containing these medals, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Steve~

Many more than five. I believe they started in 2006. Best for you to do an Internet search as the early sets did not contain medals.

What about Reagan? Wasn't that a C&C set? It did not contain a silver medal though, just a regular silver eagle.

Are you sure there was a Hoover set??

I did not collect these sets... that was a turbulent period for me - life-wise. During that time, I just kept up with ASE's ....I will have to check out the silver medals....Cheers, RickO

    The OCD is kicking in...
I want to have a set of current US Mint Silver Medals.
So, I have the FDR set.
    Will need:

    2013 Theodore Roosevelt
    2014 Franklin Roosevelt
    2015 Harry Truman
    2015 Dwight D Eisenhower
    2015 John F Kennedy
    2015 Lyndon Johnson
    2016 Ronald Regan

    Once again thank you! :#

Trick question: What was the first C & C Set? Hint: It didn't have a medal.

The Marshall set? It came out in 2005, but they could have issued one before that. I think I have a couple of them someplace...

The next one after that was the Franklin in 2006, then the Lincoln in 2009, I think.

I should have bought the hell out of the Lincoln... :D

I think it was the Franklin set,
This is the first of the Coin & Chronicles that I can remember.

The presidential medals struck in .999 silver are as a part of the coin and chronicles series:
    2013 Theodore Roosevelt Mintage 15120
    2014 Franklin Roosevelt Mintage 19500
    2015 Harry Truman Mintage 16812
    2015 Eisenhower Mintage 16744
    2015 Kennedy Mintage 49051
    2015 Lyndon Johnson Mintage 23905

These mint state .999 medals may see a surge in price as the mint breaks out the first two presidential medals in Proof this year, followed by 4 every year thereafter. I am sure they will be overpriced, but I will be in for two sets.
