Two upgrades for my Silver Washington Quarter set.

My set is only at 50% completion but I couldn't pass up these upgrades.
I need to focus on coins I need but my current examples of these two were bugging me.

1942 PR66 CAC

1957 MS66

In my opinion, if your two previous examples were bugging you then you did exactly focus on coins you needed. Nice work. :)

Both are really nice coins! I really like the toning on the 1957.

I wholeheartedly agree. They would still be bugging you, probably more so, the closer you get to completion. And I have heard collectors say that doing it like you did keeps them focused on quality additions instead of completion.

@sparky64 I'd like to add that I just took a look at your registry set and I really loved the variety of looks on those quarters. Very nicely done.

Nice job. Never settle. purge the coins that you don't like with better examples. Your whole set will be better for it. Congratulations.

P.S. I'm a business strike kind of guy, so I really LIKE the gold toning on that 1957. I would have a chose a MS 66, too, great grade.

Good looking Washingtons! The belly of the '42 proof even looks like it's got some frost, which is very tough to find on a Washie proof of that era.
