Album collectors- What do you think of the Whitman 9170, gold type set?

I like the Dansco Albums better. They're of a better quality. If Dansco could update their 7070 and add a two page gold supplement, that would be perfect!

I do think that the Whitman album includes the right holes, anything more and the types get very expensive. Collectors have a reasonable shot of completing it.

I started it to put away some gold, now that the numismatic premium for common gold coins over bullion is so low.

I have not done any gold albums.... I do a bit of stacking, some varieties and proofs... I have considered doing it, but bargains always lured me away (add to the stack). That looks like a nice album, but cannot evaluate the quality as you have. Cheers, RickO

Whitman always cheaps out. They compensate by having holes for 3 dollar and Classics, but it's not much consolation.
When I was "albmuming" I got a Whitman type set album to get the bust dollar hole. I added the pages from that gold album but think I had to get the album to get the pages.
Don't remember. But it was kinda cool to have a better run than the abbreviated Dansco 7070 that has become NOT cheap to fill like it was when introduced.
If you're gonna have an album, have a more complete one.
