1951 S Franklin... Here is mine.... show me favorite franklins

I enjoy the Jefferson, Roosevelt series and the Franklin series of coins. I picked this one up at PCGS Franklin at GC a week or two ago. It has a nice color that is pleasing to my eye. I think this has an outside chance to be a DDR-002 given what I can see in my photos on my computer. Not able to get better photos until I receive the coin. The motto looks good. I can see the notches...Regardless, lets use this for some franklin toners.....

I like the light pastel color on your 1951-S, @davids5104. It reminds me of some coins one used to be able to find raw in original US mint double mint sets.
Additionally, @mynamespat has an absolutely terrific example of die polish on that 1954-S!

Good looking Frankies. Personally I'd guess that the color on your '51-S was more likely caused by envelope toning than Mint Set toning.
Here's a 1951-S I pulled raw from a Mint Set I bought, and sent it in to PCGS many years ago. It came back MS65FBL. While I do think it is fairly graded, given gradeflation I wouldn't be surprised if it upgraded if it was sent back in today.
U.S. Type Set
Nothing like a nicely toned gem Franklin.
These are some pleasant examples here.

No * ? Sure looks worthy!
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
Here's a Bugs Bunny (FS-402) in 66+.

Very nice coins. There was a time when a few Franklins in your pocket felt like real money. My one and only Franklin...

These last two I picked up raw along with a 52 that I don’t have pictures of at the moment.

The 53-S graded 65, the 55 graded 66FBL Bugs Bunny and the 52 also went 66 but no FBL.
I've had it a long time. It might predate the * designation.

This is one of my favorite Franklins in my collection:
I don't own many Franklin half dollars, but this one might appeal a little to both the toned and blast white lovers of the series. Alternatively, it might not appear to either camp!

Tom, that one appeals to this blue toned coin lover! Nice coin!
Fantastic toning on so many posted.
