First, and most importantly, these look really nice. People collecting these in circulated grades should aspire to find coins like this.

Second, your photos, as always, are superb.

Finally...... The way you worded something in your comments set me off a little. Hopefully I can convey what I'm thinking without the whole thread going off the rails into the usual arguments.....

Your taste in coins seems fantastic and I think you know more about coins than I do by a significant margin. That said, I don't think you need a sticker (or even plastic) to know good coins from bad coins in this grade/price range. If you prefer a sticker for the pragmatic reasons of narrowing the number of coins you look through or for added liquidity at sale time, that's perfectly legitimate. It's a good bet that a stickered coin will be acceptable when the on-line photos aren't nice enough to know for sure. If you need a sticker to know if it's original...... well, you don't! A sticker only proves that JA likes a coin at a certain price point.

A great many truly original coins have poor eye appeal. These often don't sticker, even when otherwise technically strong for the grade. A sticker certainly isn't proof of originality. I've submitted newly-dipped coins to JA that came back with stickers where they did not earn one in their previous unattractive state (obviously more applicable in MS grades, but still a valid point). He will also sometimes sticker coins with nice secondary toning.

In this price range you'll be overlooking huge numbers of really nice coins if you insist on a sticker. In many cases, there isn't enough financial reward for dealers or collectors to even bother submitting them.

For every single coin like these posted, I would estimate I see 350 or so that are worn out, damaged, abused and/or cleaned. They sure served the purpose as money in their time didn't they!
