Die polishing evidence on this 1879-S Morgan...

Wow.. those both have a lot of die polish lines... I have not come across any like that, other than in pictures here on the forum. Thanks for showing us...Cheers, RickO

Not my coin, just had in my saved pics but as I recall it was a MS64, old green label PCGS. Thought it would be fun to see more die polishing lines on other coins.....reason for the post.

Here's a couple Peace dollars with unique die polishing I have sitting on my desk at the moment. Especially the 26s VAM 1Z.. I got her for $14 because the dealer thought it was eraser rub PMD

Here's another 1879-S VAM-1B2 I acquired today. The die file lines on the obverse were so heavy the dealer I bought it from first thought that someone had polished up the obverse. Then I told him that the coin had not been cleaned, rather it was from a die that had been scrubbed pretty harshly. The obverse has really nice 5 inch mirrors and the reverse is a semi-PL.
