Fatty Walker and a Gold CAC Sticker

KyleKyle Posts: 1,822 ✭✭✭✭✭

This just got back from CAC. Something about the gold sticker just makes coins look better.

That's a nice Walker and it really deserves the sticker.

She's a beauty. I agree those gold CAC stickers sure look good on those old fatty NGC holders. :)

Coin looks nice from what I can see. Congrats. Sticker doesn't do anything for me, in fact it actually distracts away from the eye appeal of the coin. That sticker would be gone in 2 seconds if ever in my collection.

I saw a 43 NGC fatty with a gold bean a few months ago. Not the same but I regret not dropping just a bit more. Walkers look great in these. Nice pickup.

Dip all the toned coins and peel off all the gold stickers. I'm sure you've made a lot of new friends since joining!

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Not to mention a hefty profit... :#

This is what I see in my mind with mentioning of the dipping of toned coins and peeling away those pesky green and gold stickers...

Nice Walker, though from the photos, instead of the gold bean, I would prefer a 65 grade which it should have graded imo.

The older NGC holders are graded lower than pcgs rattlers. They weren't as favorable then as they are now. At least from what I've seen.

What was the grade of the example you saw?

I sort of agree....I would rather have it in a PCGS64-65 holder myself. Beautiful coin.

A 43 Walker in 65 is barely worth sending in raw from the wild, and definitely not worth cracking out of THAT holder for the upgrade.

Some coins I'd prefer to have the right number on the label but that's not one of them.

Beat me to it, this x1000.

Thanks everybody, it’s not an expensive coin but it is always a nice surprise when you see a gold CAC on a submission.
