Harpers Ferry 2016 Quarter Error

I found this quarter in pocket change and was curious about the date area. The pictures show that the circle on every state park quarter continues directly through the '2016'. In addition there is a faint line where the circle would normally flatten out above the date. I believe this to be mint damage as the actual date is mostly unaffected. Any advice or information on this coin is much appreciated.

    Your coin is damaged. They call this counting wheel damage. It is usually a groove around the circumference of the coin as on yours. Think of it as a deep circular scratch.

    Line should be above date not through on circulated. interesting PMD find you can see the faint line on your above
