not cool, dealer. not cool.

I thought it was against ebay policy to post coins without the cert number showing if you claim it is graded? Also, look at how many times he says this coin is beautiful. He even insinuates that it will be worth 7 figures once "the economy gets going".
If they were in my town, id visit them - just to yell at them.

Ask him for the cert. #. See how he or she replies.
I don't see an ebay policy which requires a photo of the slab label or cert number.
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/stamps-currency-coins-policy?id=4337#section2
I would deduct style points for all the font changes and color changes, and he could make more money if he included a photo of the slab labels, but I don't see anything unethical in his listing.
Looks like his prices are a 'leetle' too high...........
Best, SH
Ask the dealer for a pic of the entire slab and let us know what his response is.

Hmmm ... somehow this is reminiscent of the seller who was listing coins not in his/her possession, and was outed by a dealer who owned one of the listed coins. The inconsistent photos and saccharine descriptions replete with 'explanations' as to why the images are not of the slabs are bright warning flags.

This seller anticipated your responses - his auction text says he can't post the coin in the slab because the size of the image would be too big.

This. Is the same account that listed a forumites coins for sale.
The size "issue" is just more bs.
The reflections in the images make it look like it's in a 2X2, not a slab.
Total used car salesman of numismatics. I'd avoid him, like Typhoid Marry. I bet it's in an AU-58 Details holder with all that damage in the field to the west of Liberty on the obverse, it looks like environmental damage. ANACS is the only TPG that I know off the top of my head that will list a numerical grade on a details holder.

Seller also has the same coin listed at a higher Buy it Now price.
Reckless faith in the dollar's strength is reckless. Tariff proposals have demonstrated this.
Figured it was **Dreamtrophy **This person if you read about me profile if you make it through it lol first lanquage is not English and sells sunglasses at convenience stores etc.
Starbox
etc
Dreamtrophy does NOT own the items in the listings. He appearently purchases the items and then sells at a hefty markup.
If he did own the items he is in no rush to sel them and above business is profitable?
The prices are a joke. $1300 for a clad blank dime graded is worth $2 ungraded as a example.
EBay is a massive mountain of crap with a few diamonds randomly buried within - and trying to out the bad actors is like trying to stop a tsunami with a bucket. Much disgusts, but little surprises me.
Check out my current listings: https://ebay.com/sch/khunt/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=12&_rdc=1
While definetly an shady practice Dreamtrophy is marketing the coin(s) for you and maybe finding a buyer for your that did not find you.
Fat chance EBAY should have Dreamtrophy state in large print that they do not own the item or consigned to them.i
Disagree. There is crap on eBay (as well as your local coin store or auction house). To suggest that eBay is mostly crap is inaccurate bordering on libel. eBay is mostly routine coins at routine prices. It is a mistake to focus too much on either the random diamond or the crap.
It appears that rules don't apply to people in California - now, more than ever.

The description in the listing... with all the color and added 'hoohah' is more than enough to make me move on... would not have even considered a bid - even if the coin was of a quality to be considered. That listing is a huge warning to stay away.... I call those 'trash monsters'...Cheers, RickO
I don't have many stores to share, but once I saw a coin which was sold in seconds after listings. It sold for $700. I called the dealer and offered him $2000 (coin value in my book $2500-3000). He refused and shipped. He did not want to play "I lost the coin somewhere" game.
I don't blame him and that dealer have a + in my book.
are they supposed to post a pic or something of the grading co? just wondering
Are you really that dishonest to attempt a stunt like that? Shame on you. You have a big minus in my book.

PerryHall,
I agree with you and I was ashamed for what I did. I am young and at that time I was thinking I'm helping the guy to get more money for the coin which he listed for way below Krauze catalog price.
After the call I realized that it was not ethical thing do to and never did that again.
Live and learn. Glad to see that you have evolved.

This individual would probably better be described as a "Seller", NOT a Dealer.
Anyone can put the hook in the water and see what (who) bites.

Another clown rears his ugly head. The coin itself looks like crap to me and his description makes me laugh my ass off then gets me a little bit angry.
I hope he get his eyes picked out by crows.
That seller is a drop shipper. Not illegal but tough to do successfully with coins I'd imagine. Because of this the seller can only post images that the real dealer has listed. They can't actually take additional images because they don't own the coin.
I don't know about their other business, but I would not buy any coins from them as they are likely listed elsewhere on the net for less.

Has anyone noticed the seller has 1300 coins currently listed, and less than 10 feedback as a seller?

If he doesn't actually own the coins he's selling the negs will soon start piling up.

@saltlydog4 he also uses "epic" twice. Which is twice too much. Epic fail. Cleaned scrubbed POS.
Kind regards,

I believe this person doesn't even own most of their "inventory". They list other peoples items at high prices, and if it sells, buy it and ship. Also known as drop shipping.
I get tired of all the California bashing that goes on here. It's not that what is said isn't true, most of the time it somewhat is. Sometimes the criticism is just downright gratuitous. Bottom line most people here are just like anybody else. Just like you. Problem is the weirdos HAVE taken over the place. The societal decline here is real and it's heartbreaking to watch. California is rapidly becoming a place apart. And not for the better. Still, I get tired of hearing about it especially from people who aren't experiencing it up close and personal like us few remaining Native Californians. Have some sympathy. We could use it. The worst part is I fear it's all coming to a town near you. Then you'll understand it all a little better. And you won't like it. Just like we don't.
Well...why don't you do something about it. The meek follow the pied piper! If there are so many like you say that don't....can't you stop all the BS!
You tell'em Hydrant! I guess people could say the same thing about the people who live in Florida as there sure seem to be a lot of OP's about unethical people out there.
I am a Native Californian for the 54 years I have been on earth as well, I was born and raised in a pretty small town (Pismo Beach) on the Central Coast of California. Well about 25 years ago I moved to Southern California to go to school and ended up staying because I got a job I couldn't refuse before I graduated from school and ended up living here in Southern California to this day, which I wish I would have turned the job down and went back up North to live back in my hometown as it is a much nicer place to live. Well some family members would say stuff about living down South here about all of the traffic and people that we have to deal with. I would tell them that Pismo Beach would eventually grow sometime. I now laugh at them because they have to deal with traffic on work days and at times on weekends because my hometown and surrounding towns aren't so small anymore.
Sorry about going OT here a little
Do something about it? We tried. The traditional American way. Through the ballot box. The vote. It makes no difference here. The vote here is worthless. Now people are voting with their feet. They're leaving. All the young working family people are leaving. They are being replaced by people who are clueless as to Americanism. It's a tidal wave. I saw a man on T.V. today. He lives in Hawaii. The lava is coming down the street to destroy his home. He said, "This is my home. There's nothing I can do. We have to leave.". You can't stop a lava flow. You can't stop a tidal wave. We tried. We failed. This place is Ground Zero. We didn't expect this. How could we have? The lava flow-tidal wave is coming your way. Once it hits you and yours, you'll get off that high horse.
You made my point for me - thank you. You get it.
I'd go further, but it would take the thread way off track.

THANK YOU.

The seller put a lot of hard work into his listing with all that text in color:
An epic item of prestige, pizzazz, power, and eye popping sex appeal. Possibly opportunity of a lifetime to secure an immensely desirable coin at a fraction of true museum value.
A screaming epic dream wonder coin that might just be the very best investment you will ever make. An opportunity to acquire a great coin with a trajectory of huge investment upside. This is a coin that could make the most cynical jaded coin collector cry like a baby.
The mere thought of getting to own this supreme dream wonder coin someday, should equal the thrill of being able to experience all of ones childhood Christmas mornings or Hanukkah nights at once.
A tremendous opportunity to secure a dream.
