Sent in for regrade for ddo attribution, Grades are in...
Mine Not attributed as a ddo.
Called customer service and the graders notes were "not significant enough for attribution".
Coinfacts picture first, my true view 2nd

Seems pretty obvious to me.

Bingo...
Too Minor? It's not listed in the exclusions to the CPG. I'm away from my books, it's still in the current versions right?

Discoverer of 1919 Mercury Dime DDO - FS-101
I had an NGC coin like this and "too minor of a variety" neither company should do anything but attribute the coin if it is a recognized variety. That terminology should not exist. It should be 1. Congrats, here is your coin attributed or 2. Sorry, we do not recognize this variety or 3. This is not the variety you thought

Yes and still needed for complete variety set. If it were a variety not included, I would totally be ok with this.

It's either doubled or not. It's the Same
Obverse Die! Doubled dies don't vary in amount of doubling.
1931 d and 31s have very similar doubling of the date.
I really don't understand what has happened here

That should be sent in for reconsideration with the details of where it is listed. Let us know what happens... Cheers, RickO
I called first this morning, before they even shipped it. Customer service told me I could always resubmit, I asked to send it thru again, I know what I have, and I was assured that 3 variety graders saw this coin and agreed on it.
What a waste of time....and money.

Resubmit and reconsideration are two different processes (as I understand it). Reconsideration is specific to the issue and handled by different people. Be sure to specify where it is recognized/documented. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
The date looks right....how about the Motto?
Motto

True View
Analysis of the coin facts photos and variety vista:
2 different die marriages (mint mark location)
And at some point dies had clashed.
Mine has no clash, so earlier die stage,
And lower mint mark positioning-rev die replaced after clash?

This is the problem. I had one in just like this a few months ago and it didn't fly either. Yours is even better on the date than my 65. Trouble is neither one of ours has the motto showing the doubling. If you can talk them into it somehow I will send mine back in.
Very nice coin by the way.
I think yours is the WDDO-002. The doubling of the date in your example is more south like the WDDO-002. The FS-101 has doubling on the 1 that is further west. Plus the WDDO-002 does not have the doubling on the motto. The example on Wexler's site in the link below does have die gouges and chips that don't appear on yours, however, I think the example images of the 002 are a later die state than yours.

@jtlee321
I think you nailed it.
Reading the wexler's explains it very well.
I had no idea there was another variety of ddo. Makes sense now. Thank you!
Coin facts has both shown as fs101.
So that really added to my confusion.
Still a nice coin for my set, and spent my ebay bucks for half of it!

Sorry if I burst your bubble on the variety. I wish you luck in finding another one though.
