Morgan vam guys? 1880-CC?

VAM guys, the VAMworld mintmark on this 1880 GSA seems to match the written description, but doesn't seem to match exactly what I'd expect to see on a VAM-3. Confirm it's a 3, or is it something else entirely?
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.
