1922 Peace dollar obverse error find

Namvet69Namvet69 Posts: 9,278 ✭✭✭✭✭

My efforts paid off as I have found my first mint error coin. The 3 images show clear doubling in the 2nd 2, the face profile from the upper lip to forehead and the L in Liberty. Magnification also shows doubling in the 1st 2 on the inside of the curve of the number and the I in Liberty. All doubling is to the left of each feature and no doubling on the reverse. Suggestions on what to do now is appreciated. I have lots more coins to check. Peace Roy

Nice mechanical doubling, but not part of the die. The Morgan-Peace variety collectors do not recognize these, either.

    But keep looking! :)
