Roosevelt Dime RPMs?

AzurescensAzurescens Posts: 2,783 ✭✭✭✭✭

Hey folks. Looking to confirm or deny RPMs on a 1949-D, and 1955-D. There's also a curious 1954-S that I came across.

Photos in order of date. Thank you!!

I don't see anything that would indicate RPMs.
The third one may have slight repunching south, but hard to tell.

Okay cool thanks. The last one has me puzzled too since (in better light), there's distinct notching on the lower left.

Is the S just smashed or did the metal move around? What causes that phenomenon? Punched too hard?

The picture of the second D appears to show a possible RPM....The S just looks as if it has been worn and smushed (not an official numismatic term :D ).... Cheers, RickO

Worn and smushed in a 66? It's what confuses me.

The first and third coins look very similar and have what could be a bar inside the mintmark on the right side. I’d lean more towards a damaged punch as the horizontal bar would mean the rpm would be very wide to the East and I don’t see any evidence in the torch of a secondary punch.
Agreed the S mintmark is simply worn and not an rpm.
