Just wanted to share my find on this Lincoln penny, let me know what you think.

Those are called 'rim nicks' -
it's damage on the coin;
you can see where whatever
it was that caused the rim
damage also went into the field
on the upper right side of the nicks.
It's a damaged coin, and not an error,
I'm sorry to say.
Sorry no banana just a damaged penny.
That background looks familiar. Or maybe not.

Now if the wood grain that is on the table were on the coin, you'd have something.
