Newp - I bought the PL Peace from Sil D

New Canon 80D and Canon macro lens sit in their Amazon boxes still. Though I doubt I can shoot an advanced piece like this anyway. I plan to have Todd shoot it in Philly where I also plan to allow Roger to spit on it. But for now here is a quick video look at it. Great friendly people over at https://tangibleinvestmentsinc.com/ BTW. Spoke to several really friendly folks including Sil himself. Highly recommend them as well.

    No they need a nail trim I noticed while watching the vid. I may have my team reshoot the video after a mani. This might be my only shot.

    I dont think I'm great but I think I can get decent shot until I have Todd shoot it in Philly. I have better gear now waiting to unpack than when I took these. Lets see if I can figure something out:

    That is a really nice Peace Dollar, probably one of the first off a new set of dies. It could be a swaying factor for our host to expand the PL designation on other than Morgan Dollars.

    New dies are mostly satin-like. A reflective surface occurs when a die is repaired/polished.

    Very nice! Did you notice the other 1926 S coin sent in with this one graded 65 PL?

    I was aware of it, but didnt look to see if it was in the same submission. I thought that 65 was already around before this one? Maybe Im not sure of the timing. Do you have a cert number for the 65? Would love to see it.

    Crypto the coinmaster used to have a 26-S that he called close to PL. I have that coin in hand right now as well and it is very close. I personally think it is also PL. Hoping to get that one into a PL holder for a friend as well. Its interesting to follow the time line of these.

    I still do not see any video in that link that shows a Peace dollar. Coin above are Mexican.....this thread just is off base in more ways than one.
