Funny thing... a fellow walked in the shop yesterday and sold his entire collection of silver eagles. Proof and unc. From ‘86-current. (Barring the ‘95 W Proof plus those multiple coin sets , and...) I asked where the ‘08/‘07 reverse coin was. He said “I’m keeping that one”. To be treasured forever.

As I think about it, I have still not checked some ASE's I put away years ago.... that was when I relocated from the West Coast to the East Coast.... I should check... I know two boxes have never even been unpacked from the move. I could get lucky.... :D;) Cheers, RickO

Bought one of these immediately back in 2008 when i could find one for $200. Was a good purchase.

These really should be more pricey.

Good move back in 2008; although it was already expensive then and now nothing is available under %500.
Do you plan to send it in for grading? I wondered if it tones faster being raw in the capsule.

I don't have it graded. Sitting raw like all my other silver eagles in the original boxes.

No toning on the coin at all.

As soon as I saw the info on this coin on these boards, I found one as quickly as I could to get my hands on it.

the mint is now down to maybe one offering per year that appreciates at least 100 percent. in 2017 it was the congratulations set, this year, they might be batting zero, I don't see the reverse silver proof set going up with a super high mintage. the mint just seems to ruin a good thing these past several years

Yep . . . I'll be hitting it in November!
Funny, we went to see REO Speed Wagon last year, said to my wife who is quite a bit younger than me, "damn those guys are old". Should have seen the eyes she threw on me . . . Dammit Boy ! ! !
