Two things, if you were interested in the coin, you should not post it while active. I do understand that you want to make sure it is real.

The other thing is and this is very important. Only bid once with your price in last few seconds.

I find that I win quite often by bidding early. I don't use a last sec bid service. My early bid seems to scare some away I find.

I know that can work, but IMO it will cost you money over time. I have to look at the bottom line and I can sit in front of my computer anytime most anyday. You must set a timer tho.

I can sit at mine too, but don't bother. Just put in what I'm willing to pay and let it ride. If I don't win it's not a big deal as my interests are pretty much common coins.

Well... I missed the OP, however, I can deduce the issue from the follow on posts. I prefer to snipe, with a nuclear bid, in the last 3-5 seconds... never lost an item I really wanted. Cheers, RickO

It appears to have rim damage from 10:00 to 1:00 o'clock.

I agree. 1955/55 DDO had been widely counterfeited. There are a whole lot of real good looking fakes around.

The rims look strange for a Lincoln cent of that era.

There are many counterfeits of this coin.

This is where authentication is mandatory, unless you want to play high-risk games with your money.

    IMO...if I wanted one...and I DO...I would go after a PCGS certified version.

Speaking for myself... I would never buy any 1955/55 DDO lincoln cent raw.

One other thing... I like your photos.

No matter when the OP bid on this coin he wasn't going to win it with a bid of $250.00.

To me the W in We doesn't look right.
It's to close to the rim.

The comparison photos are of a genuine coin and a struck counterfeit, but not this coin????
And the last two photos are of a coin in a slab???

The coin on ebay is not real.

thevintagecorner2009 said it's from private collection but would not attest whether it is genuine; currently at $805
I am looking the other way...PCGS graded one is a sure thing.
This is part of my learning curve; Thank you all for your time :)

The coin in the first picture is NOT a US Mint product. Anyone who can't see that at first glance shouldn't buy raw coins.

Someone is likely to get an expensive education on buying raw coins. You may not want to be that person.
