Anybody go to Dalton show?

My schedule kept me from attending this weekend’s Dalton show.
Haven’t missed it in years. If you went, please tell about your experience.

I didn't , but a dealer friend set up. Said fri was a bit slow to start , but by show end they had done some good business selling graded coins, and all the bullion they carried. Bought a decent amount from walk in, and a little from a few other dealers.

I actually had a pretty good show! Just like all other shows...some did and some didn't! 1st good show for me this year!

My lay low strategy has come into play. I'm tired of spending money on shows that are not producing. As of now I only have 2 shows to do this summer....Baltimore in June and the BRNA in August. I'll do the Greater Atlanta Bullion show each month but don't expect much!

I may get board enough to find another.....but at the moment I'm thinking of what kindda summer project do I want to do to keep from being board.........Might be learning how to build my own website given the path ebay is taking!

Been several years since attending a Dalton show but hope to make the BRNA this year. Always enjoyed those shows . . .

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

Most every dealer I spoke with were very happy with the show. All mentioned strong dealer to dealer activity. Only one said she was disappointed but after looking at her offerings I was not surprised. All 335 tables were sold out, and had been since January which is not unusual for GNA. Collector attendance was average for the show on Friday and up for the show on Saturday. Sunday rained all day so attendance dropped considerably.

There were some amazing exhibits with an impressive 11 YNs competed in the exhibits.

Disclaimer: I am on the GNA Board so I may be a bit biased :)

I was at GNA on Saturday and attendance seemed higher considerably from Saturday the year before. I sold a few nice CC Morgans and a roll of common uncs for what I wanted and picked up a nice 1821 bust half, so a successful show overall. A lot of good dealers at this show year after year, honest people willingly to give advice and take the time to talk to collectors. As JJ said, several dealers mentioned the strong dealer to dealer volume, so sounds like a successful show overall, would highly recommend.

Edited to add: the currency exhibit was really nice, I’m not a paper collector but the notes were impressive and display and very well done!
