Bottom right looks like it, but the crud may be concealing the full digit... give it an acetone bath and post it again. None of the others qualify.. Cheers, RickO
Yea I would say maybe bottom right. Find yourself a nice accented hair Proof Set if you want one. All the accented hair sets I’ve found have the pointed 9 dimes.
there is a difference as noted in the picture above by KollectorKing. I'm not sure if this Variety comes as a Mint State coin, but it is typically in a Proof Set along which also contains an Accented Hair Kennedy Half-Dollar.

I finally found mine. Lol I'm pretty sure you are right, only in the proof sets. This came out of my 1964 proof set that had my accented hair Kennedy in it. Tried to get the best pics I could of the 9.

There are MS also of both P & D. Judging by the pic's I don't think any of these are pointed.

As its a little hard to photo this, I just took this under my microscope. It is a pointed 9 variety.

Back in the mid 'sixties these were a hot item. I don't know what the status is today but it should be a collectable variety.
Looking at the bay, they are still recognized but not worth a whole lot. It's more like a small error that's fun to have but not worth jumping for joy over.
Unless the Cherrypickers guide or PCGS recognizes the variety, I'm afraid there will be little or no premium for it.
I had a couple of really nice proof 68 dcam proof pointed 9s in old green holders, both failed to get much of a premium when I sold them. What premium I got was more likely from the old holders than the unattributed variety itself.
Still a neat variety to pickup. I found mine in proof sets that also had Accented Hair Kennedy halves.

Never heard of that variety? where did you hear about it?
Bottom left is. I can't tell because of the toning but I think the bottom right is also. All the others are blunt.
Insert witicism here. [ xxx ]
Since you know about it cannot you determine if it or is not it?
FYi you might try if you have not heard google and do a search this subject was covered in a popular forum coins
mutiple posts too!
I think the bottom right is probably one - hard to tell from the toning.
There is a distinct difference between the two. Easy to spot. If the tail of the 9 is squared off, it is blunt. If sharp - it is pointed.

Sorry.. but from what I can see...I can't see anything on the 9's under magnification that looks like it comes to a point.
When blown up, I don't see any pointed 9's. All blunt.

Minus the toning the only one that is a pointed 9 is the bottom right.

Yes, this is a pointed 9 variety.
Number#9
9 is not one either. You can click on the picture and it will open to a much larger picture. All are regular 9's.

I have both the P & D hoping than someday they will be added to the PCGS variety set.

Let's hope they do get added, DIMEMAN. I think they're a neat coin.
