Home U.S. Coin Forum

Thought some of you might appreciate this one

My father handed this down to me. Before Dr. Seuss was known as Dr. Seuss, he was creating posters supporting the U.S.A. during WW2. This is one of his originals. I know it’s a coin forum so I used Morgan’s and Peace dollars to hold it down flat. Lol. Plus there are dollar signs in the poster so it’s money related that’s why I chose to share it with all of you. Cool piece of history. A war propaganda poster is one thing but the Dr. Seuss aspect of it gave it that nice touch.

These are great collectibles showing patriotic themes that are unknown to most Americans.

This one depicts currency, although it's paper money.

Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

I think it's neat! There's a niche for stuff like that, and given the "Seuss" thing, my guess is that it's highly collectable.

    Great piece of history!

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
