Stolen Coins

I sold two graded Morgan dollars on eBay. According to the buyer they were lost or fell out of the envelope. I have a feeling they were delivered but you know how eBay rolls, always in the side of the buyer. One was an ANACS graded 1887 MS 63, cert # 5079102. The other was NCG graded 1883 MS63, cert# 3918600-011. If anyone sees them on here please let me know. Thanks!

If they were delivered by the Post Office then you are covered. Yes, call PP not ebay.

Why not eBay? I had the same thing happen a couple months ago and ebay said I had no responsibility since delivery was confirmed. They said the buyer would be asked to file a report with the USPS and a police report.

Sorry to hear this... difficult to prove anything. As recommended, call Paypal and file with the USPS. Also the numismatic crime institute. Cheers, RickO

This is a different resolution than I’ve experienced or heard of before. Typically eBay/PayPal will refund buyer if they open a SNAD - didn’t receive item. They will try and get you to eat it. If you raise enough of a stink, they may refund you too and PayPal may eat the cost - particularly if it’s the first time for your account.
