That is very cool, I've never seen it.......
Those dolphins, or porpoises, whichever, are so neat .......
Congrats! That is one of my favorite coin club medals. I have the more common brass one and I’ve been looking to pick up a silver.
Now that's a nice piece.
Would you spare the germs?
Beautiful octagon....
Just recognized the dolphin pattern around the edge as my 5oz octagon but yours has to be the real thing....

Of note, this is also one of the error medals. The medal says "BICENTENNIAL" but 1874-1974 is a "CENTENNIAL".
"OLD U.S. MINT BICENTENNIAL - 1874 - SAN FRANCISCO - 1974"
Of the brass ones, 1,300 were minted with the "BICENTENNIAL" error and 800 were minted with a corrected "CENTENNIAL" die. Here's a silver with the correct obverse that recently sold on the bay. This one is edge marked with the serial number 35.
Anyone know the mintage of the silver strikes?
@Zoins - How on Earth did I miss that one?
@Outhaul ...I laughed at your little poem....Nice token.... Zoins has number 35, what is your number?? Cheers, RickO
I’ll let you know when I have it in hand.
Cool piece...thanks for posting it!

Thanks for that, now I will have the tune in my head all day. Oh, and nice token.
