Pictures upgrade! 1964 Jefferson Nickel

good looking nickel. Wait. Do the inscriptions on the coin appear to be "taller" than normal?

    Looks like die deterioration. Through the 50's and 60's it seems like the mint overused many of their nickel dies leading to smudgy details. Can someone post a mint state example of this? I don't have one handy.

    Could be common ejection doubling, but I will let the variety experts confirm it as such

    I have a few and they have steps. But I have never bothered to photograph them. I fear if I were to give them away, they would end up in MS67FS holders and in top Registry sets. :*

    The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
