There have been others... I remember a 'Northern Lights' coin a year or two ago.... These are novelty pieces and appeal to another market. Although, some coin collectors will buy them as well...Cheers, RickO

Sorry. If I want a glow in the dark coin I'll just travel to Chernobyl to get one.

Did you hear they're setting up some massive experiment on all that old irridiated land? They claim it's for clean solar power. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be trying to harness the old radiation for power.
Pripyat is the size of Luxembourg. Jeezus. Raindeer in Norway are dying and having their skin slough off from eating mushrooms that have taken in the old radiation. Mushrooms aren't supposed to do that.
Crazy stuff over there. Ever hear the interviews with soldiers in the exclusion zone. I remember one guy maybe in his 30s. Basically said I'll be riddled with tumors and die by 40 like everyone else but my family eats and my children can go to school.
These special "Canada-150" Toonies (and other denominations) are actually being minted for general circulation (at face) - - just with low mintage numbers. They're also for sale in various other sets/combinations/mark-ups from the RCM store. I was fortunate enough to come by some via sale/swap with various Forum member contacts.

Cool !!!
Wow! Makes you feel pretty good about modern American commemorative coins. Thank you Canada.
Very rare with only 4,000 minted. sell out in 2 minutes???
I remember there being glow in the dark dinosaur coins that they made too. One of those might be neat. Not so much on this one.
What garbage!
But, then, RCM is a company not a national mint with a national "image" to maintain.
What is next ? A coin that looks and smells like bacon?
I'm not going to lie I might go for that one. Maybe a bacon half dollar in silver and a beer dollar in gold. A 2 piece set. ?????
HAPPY COLLECTING

A few years ago I got my son the dinosaur coin which shows the underlying skeleton when you turn off the lights. He thinks it is pretty cool.

Let's start a rumor that they used radioactive stuff to make it glow in the dark.
