Grade is here if you want to skip the comments

Very EDS coin, for what it's worth. Flashy luster. Can't VAM it to save my life. Looks like VAM 2 but earlier die state? I dunno. High res here.

I thought 66 but guessed 65. Sure is a nice smooth face. I like the toning but might be hiding something. Love this coin's look. Congrats

At least you can poll correctly, so I'd chalk it up as a win.

Guess I need to defend my 63! (?)

It's based on what appears to be excessive nicks/dings/(scratches?) above IGWT on the reverse, and below the jaw on the obverse. I wanted to say 64....but went conservative.

Toned coins are tough from photos. My "complaints" may be nothing more than shadows and artifacts from the toning.....

Looks mark-free enough for a 66, but I don't see enough luster to pull off a 66. So, 65 was my vote.

Picture looks 64 to me. Minimal marks, but where’s the luster?

    I'm in the 65 camp.
Based on it being a 66 then deducting a point for the mottled toning and some "busy" areas
    I really do like it.

Multiple comments about the luster, fair.

It has flashy fields, so luster is difficult to pull out without blasting out most of the color. I had a choice, do I highlight the fields, or roll with the natural look of the coin (being somewhat semi-PL) and bring out the color? I'll post the TrueViews once this runs its course.

...I was under the impression that EDS coins won't have as much luster as a later die state...I thought the older the die state, the brighter the luster is...up to a certain point that is...Is that correct or no? ;)

I went 65, but if the luster is there it could be higher.

The pic is flat . . .but description of luster, plus a very nice cheek and prime focal areas . . . . . 66.

    Not a bad strike for an "O" Mint . . . . . . . .

    Nice coin!

I'm guessing MS 65. This common date tends to not get any respect.

What a lovely coin. Bet that puppy spent some time in a Wayte Raymond.

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

Nice clean cheek has to be a 65, sure wish we had some luster, hopefully just the lighting in the picture.

I voted 66. I think the small hit on her cheek just above the jaw line and a few other small marks kept it from a 67. I am taking into consideration your remarks regarding the flashiness of the fields. Which are very clean.

I went 64. Could be the pics but it looks like the luster isn't there for the 65

Not voting based on the image. Having written that, I hope the coin grade met your expectations.

FTR, I like the coin. And while it should grade based on the image, making the determination of whether it graded at my grade level is something I am unable to do.

Nice toning but not really colorful. Smooth cheeks and fields with just a few small lines. I think it's a 65 gem.

That 2nd photo shows the luster much better than the first. I was in the 65 camp and I'd give you that + if it was up to me.
