DigiBlue QX7 Microscope

jesbrokenjesbroken Posts: 10,583 ✭✭✭✭✭

Does anyone here have a DigiBlue QX7 microscope for coins? I have one, but I lost a computer last fall and cannot find the software to reload mine on the new computer. The company is evidently gone as I cannot get any information on them via google or other online searches. Hope someone does. I will be glad to pay a reasonable fee for your time and trouble.

I too, had that problem and found it on the internet and downloaded just fine. This was four or five years ago. No longer even have the scope.

I feel your pain. I had a QX2 many moons ago. I don't think the software for that would work.......even if I was to find it.

Stuff used to be available online, but I'm finding less and less places still around that bother with old software.

I have read that QX5 software will work with QX7 but everytime I try to download it from different web site, my computer blocks it. Oh well. Thanks for your replies

There should be generic drivers available on the web. Do more key word searches. Peace Roy

I have a QX3 and it has never worked with Windows 7 or higher. Until a couple of years ago I still used it with an old desktop in my basement that ran NT.

I poked around a little bit, it is funny as you can still by the X7 microscope on Amazon, but the digiblue site seems to be abandoned and the FTP site with all the drivers on it is down. I did find a link to a site that said it had the driver but it was a scam site full of malware.

It appears that Celestron Amoeba now sells an identical looking microscope even down to color and buttons and specifications. I spoke with Celestron and was given the site to download their drivers, but they do not work with this microscope. I have tried many generic drivers and none have worked. It's a shame as I enjoyed the QX5 for many years but it would not upgrade to Win7 64 bit, so I sold it and bought a QX7 which I also used for a long time until the hard drive crash last fall. Looks like I am out of luck.
    Thanks for all your replies.

Yes. Those type of sites are loaded up with malware. My antivirus program won't even let me enter some of them.
